Long Island
Updated: 09-Oct-2014Get back to nature on Long Island...
There were three resorts on Long Island ranging from a classic resort experience to luxury waterfront bungalows. Now there is only the Breakfree Long Island Resort.
Breakfree Long Island Resort is situated at the northern tip of Long Island. A family friendly playground Long Island Resort boasts multiple swimming pools, scheduled activities, kids club and evening entertainment.
Your accommodation is affordable with a choice of Garden or Beachfront rooms. This island of natural beauty is surrounded by hectares of national park, scenic walks, a stunning sandy beach and all the other trimmings of an island resort. The resort features a restaurant, cafe, free kids club, swim up bar, themed nights and offers a variety of rates including 'room only', B&B and 'all inclusive rates'.
Palm Bay is currently running but not under the 'Peppers' banner. A secluded hideaway with its own beach. There are only 24 bungalows, bures, cabins and an exclusive 2-bedroom suite; all with their own hammocks to sway in the sea breeze.
Paradise Bay Eco Escape is currently being renovated. The owners suggest it may re-open however at this stage we do not have a date. One of Australia's most authentic environmentally sustainable resorts reliant on solar power, natural gas and collected rainwater. It is an exclusive and private escape with a maximum of 16 guests at any one time. It is a very personal, special and fun way to explore Australia's most spectacular natural region. With no television, phones, young children or day visitors to disrupt your day, relaxation most definitly comes first. Access is by a helicopter transfer to and from Hamilton Island airport or Airlie Beach.
