South Molle

Updated: 13-Feb-2012

Now called Koala Adventure Island, the island will re-open on the 2nd April 2012.

Previously known as South Molle Island Resort, this is the largest of the North, Mid and South Molle Island Group on the beautiful Whitsunday Islands. Protected by the Great Barrier Reef, the Whitsunday Islands are known for their fantastic sailing and diving, amazing marine life and awesome coral. And now they are known for their partying!

Koala Adventure Island is the first and only island in the Whitsundays just for backpackers and travellers aged between 18 and 35. The Koala Adventure Experience is all about sharing a good time with like-minded people, kicking back, relaxing and having fun!

Surrounded by unspoilt National Park, white sandy beaches, secluded bays and coconut palms - the perfect tropical island paradise. Relax by day, party by night.

Every afternoon at 4.30pm backpackers arrive, ready to party. Each group is designated a host to make sure everyone gets along and has a good time. It's all about kicking back and having fun.

Land activities include bushwalking, playing tennis, basketball, table tennis or beach volleyball. There is a nine-hole golf course, fitness room, pool table, or you can try your accuracy with some archery.

If you're into water activities, there are sailing trips to the reef or Whitehaven Beach, diving, snorkelling, fishing, windsurfing, paddle skiing or gliding over the ocean aboard a catamaran. There's also a pool with a waterfall spa.

Evening entertainment includes a resident DJ to keep things hopping, live bands, a nightclub, games, promotions and lots and lots of dancing.

You can explore this tropical paradise in the morning, relax by the pool at lunchtime, re-energise with one of the many activities in the afternoon and party into the night!
