The Whitsundays are located in Central Queensland, approx 8 hours drive south from Cairns and 12 hours drive north from Brisbane.
The Whitsunday Region is one of those rare places upon which Nature has lavished every favour. As well as the world-famous island archipelago, you'll see rainforests, waterfalls, bays, beaches and views which dazzle you at every turn.
The resort town of Airlie Beach is the gateway to the Whitsunday Island Group, situated in the heart of Queensland's Great Barrier Reef featuring 74 islands dotted in turquoise blue waters.
There are many ways to enjoy the natural wonders of the Whitsundays. Sail, snorkel, dive, kayak, cruise or simply kick back on a sun lounge and gaze in awe at the beauty of the surrounding islands.

Inter-island connections are also available through Cruise Whitsundays and Fantasea Cruises linking the Whitsunday Coast Airport, Shute Harbour, Hamilton, Daydream and Long Islands.
The Whitsundays is an ideal year round escape enjoying a tropical climate of hot summers, warm winters and bright spring and autumn days.
Club Med was operating Lindeman Island however this resort is now closed. The South Molle Resort and Brampton Island Resort is also presently closed.
