Keswick Island

Updated: 28-Aug-2009

Keswick Island is a remote Whitsunday Island, south of the Hamilton Island region. It is a rare beauty, with five deserted sandy beaches, pristine coral surrounds and large areas of natural bush setting.

Daytrippers are now welcome on the island with the commencement of a ferry service 4 days a week. The journey takes approximately 40 minutes. Buggy hire and refreshments are available. Keswick Island Guesthouse offers individual and small group accommodation and some private residences are also available for rent.

The island is a great fishing destination either from the island's beaches, or you can a charter boat to other places on the Whitsundays. There are several treks that lead to secluded beaches with beautiful views along the way. The island has coral reef that rates amongst the best in the Great Barrier Reef. Safe snorkelling can be done straight off the beach.

Brampton Island is its nearest tourist base just 15 minutes away by boat.
